Melaka Wonderland 2013 – The Theme Park
Melaka Wonderland had been around since 2010 and one of the attraction point in Melaka. Located at Ayer Keroh, Melaka, it’s a complete water park experience for everyone. Again, I was here for fun … seeking for high-speed water slides!
Melaka Wonderland @ Ayer Keroh
Compare to the one I went in Alor Gajah, A Famosa Water World, this water park is offering a slightly different style, you can differentiate it. Some more, it’s in famous area, Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
I hardly miss any new attraction found in Melaka, at least for now, I’m quite obsessed with it. Water dipping isn’t what I’m looking forward. I was here because of two reasons, this is considering a new/latest park in town and I love do sliding activities.
Let’s explore what’s offering and fun in the park … from my series of pictures.
Cost per entry is RM30 per adult (weekend) when I was here. I notice this year increased to RM32. Senior citizen and children each increased up to RM2 and RM1. I think this increase was too fast and yet the park is not fully developed when it’s opened.
I bought my ticket entry from discount online portal (DealMates), at price of RM18 instead of RM30. A good deal sometimes you can rather get from online than walk-in. The ticket is entitled you to “One Full Day Adult Pass to Melaka Wonderland Theme Park features 16 fun-filled rides and is surrounded by 360 hectares of natural recreational forest, namely Tornado Chaser (1st in Malaysia), Lazy cum Crazy River, 1Big Wave Pool and Adventure Island.
I arrived early in the morning. I couldn’t believe many have been earlier than me.
Carpark … seamlessly huge and many cars
Big 3D logo … at the top of the entrance
Waiting area before getting into water park … entertainment begins
Ticket booth … long queue in the weekend
While queuing for ticket … cute mascots are there to entertain you
Ticket Price … year 2012 price
Whole park map … not difficult to explore in ONE day
ENTRANCE … to the water theme park
Bag checking … strictly no food/drink is allowed to bring in
Food/Drink restriction must take into consideration.
No one informed that the food/drink is strictly not allowed. I notice some customers went unnoticed and bring the whole basket of stuff, thinking of having a mini picnic with family. They’ve no choice but to put back into the car instead.
It may the big turn-off point, but thinking from positive point, they may want to control it to avoid water park from polluted by outside food, plastic bag and container. However, I found out their food stall selling meal & drink which are not cheap. Not worth for me
Only choice you have, ENJOY the water rides and park until you TIRED and LEAVE the park.
Don’t think you would spent whole day in the park without drink/eat. Perhaps, this control can avoid any group hogging the place for too long and let other use the facilities. That’s typical Malaysian type to spend whole day on holiday at water park like what normally found near the beach/river camping.
Upon crossing the entry … walking distance to the park
Towards the Changing Block … where the changing/shower room located
Locker facilities … RM5 per ‘entry’
Token machine … only accept RM5 note
This locker facility is used only ONCE for RM5. You won’t able to close, open and close again just because you forget to put your purse. It’s costing you RM10 for doing this.
Ensure everything, included those loose jewelry/money/purse/phone you put into locker before LOCK it. Nothing will left dry for the activities in this park, unless you only interested to dip into LAZY RIVER.
Children playground … the dry activities that children can engage with
Big park … don’t know how to begin? Take LEFT turn to start
Big space with tar road … can even held BIG EVENT
Forget about leaving your slipper/sandal in the locker because you definitely need it. The park is indeed covered with lots of tar road. You’ll get your feet in burning sensation when walk on it. No fun!
1Big Wave Pool … yet to start
Empty seat … still early to occupy the place
Tube counter … tube usage is required for some sliding
Adventure Island … various slides in ONE big playground
Sliding adventure (Type 1) … Pony Ride & Crazy Slide,
Sliding adventure (Type 2) … Kamikaze Race, Anaconda Twister & Wave Rider
Sliding adventure (Type 3) … Rexy Ride, tube type sliding
Sliding adventure (Type 4) … Tornado Chaser, 1st in M’sia
It’s dangerous to lurk around here … it’s NOT children pool
Tornado chaser … the begin start from 4th floor height
I believe it’s called Pendulum sliding … if not mistaken
Okay … introduction done.
Let’s the fun begins …
The Kamikaze Racer is a 6 lane high speed mat ride where riders race head-first and side by side down the 6 lanes.
Calm water … with 6-lanes, everyone can go at same time
1 person race … forget about racing part for us
Hit the pool … breaking the water
Wait your turn to collect the rubber mat … good example
The most popular playground … for kids & big kids
A water dump waiting to drench anyone in its way!
Lazy Cum Crazy River … for lazy people
1Big Wave Pool … the shows has begun
Shows going on … while people focusing for waves to roll
Gentle rolling waves and beachfront … relax and see the kids play
What is this?
Mascot Boboi starts coming down … looks happy
Chase after him … orange color looks attracting
Yo! Manage to take picture with him … after wait for our turn
Without food & water, we didn’t plan to spend long in this park. For us, it’s more like children park, by the name of wonderland. I’m fine with short experiences with the ride. Hot sun was quite direct due to less shading even though surrounded by forest.
Also this park was where the inconsiderate visitors bring-in shampoo to the pool side and washes their hair. Someone has spread this in the video.

Still lots of room for improvement compare to other famous water park in Malaysia which has been around for more than 10 years.
