Kek Lok Si Temple

My trip to Penang Island has enable me to up-close the temple with photos. All these photos are developed by DSLR Canon EOS100d borrow from my colleague. Here by, this post is the first post dedicated to Photography section.

This is called Liberation Pond, where the turtles are released into freedom. Visitors are encourage to feed the turtles from vegetables sold over there.

We continue to hike further up and crossing over this path. Beggars are seen along the path.

A row of Buddha statues.

We took the cren up to the hill at higher temple where Kuan Yin statue located.

There are 12 chinese animal zodiac stone around in which I believe kids love the most.

They do like to take pictures with them, so do I. Haha.

The temple itself consists of several large hall for assembly and prayer.

The dark cloud is darkening before the real battle begins.

The towering statue of Kuan Yin is still in progress but already opened to public. I still remember last few years, we are allowed to go up, and right now is block for renovation to be continued.

The statue is located on the hillside above the pagoda.

Statue guardian of the statue. We are all believe that it’s a male as we found an evidence to that..Haha. Funny!

Finally, a group photo from us, Ann, Cadeance, MK, Jian and me.

The weather is kind of hot, leaving us an urgency to make our step as soon as possible. We take the lift down and proceed to the exit of Kek Lok Si temple.

Our visit to the temple is ended with asam laksa and ABC desert nearby.
