Saga Hill – Route C

0

To complete Bukit Saga hiking series, one must done for all the routes (A, B, C & D). Normally, many call it as completed via Route A (famous route). The rest are much tougher and challenging, but I determined to complete Route C this time.

Saga Hill (Bukit Saga) – Route C

It doesn’t take long to complete all routes, not even weekly or monthly but could be as short as 1 day. It depends on your stamina, but doing it weekly is recommended. All routes end-point will be at SAGA Hill peak.

Route C is accessible along the way of Route A, where the diversion happened (look around for direction) during flat trek. Route C will be diverted when you see the Chinese local deities OR small camp/rest area as shown in picture above.

Saga Hill – Route B

1

For a very first time I hiked Saga Hill, I did the Route A. There are 3 other routes (B, C, & D) to complete Saga hill-hiking series which known as much tougher and challenging.

Saga Hill (Bukit Saga)Route B

In my last Saga Hill post, I vowed to come back to complete the other trails. Route A was the most popular and majority hikers would choose. It can be fun to hike together instead alone venturing into alternative way to reach the peak.

I hardly find people go up at Route A and back from Route B, as during my hike, I was alone all the way up.

Saga & Apeh Hill via Bukit Hatamas

Saga Hill & Apeh Hill both are interesting place for hiking. The diversity of its road to the peak and waterfalls made entire journey tempting for exploration. Indeed it has much to offer from not only once but many.

20 Mar 2011 | Saga & Apeh Hill via Bukit Hatamas

Even though Saga Hill & Apeh Hill are well connected from the trail, but both starting point are about 13km distance from each other. This round, I’d myself try this new route together with other group.

There’s another route I left, Cheras Awana which not far away from Bukit Hatamas but I would like to try next round. Entrance to the trail was not well-guided and needed an experience hiker to direct the way or else end up somewhere in the jungle.

The place is accessible by car where we parked our car at some under construction road and walk along the open space under the hot sun when we came back from the journey.

Bukit Saga (Saga Hill) Hiking

Saga Hill is not a stranger to many hikers. In fact, this place was used as training base for Mount KK. The slope, terrain and steepness are what they’re looking for.

Bukit Saga (Saga Hill) Weekend Hiking

Located merely lesser than 2km from my house, this round was my third hike in here. A revisited trip has striker my interest further towards Bukit Saga. Indeed, a hill with many different routes leading to the peak and many stations to stop by for a complete journey.

I’ve yet to explore via Cheras Awana, mainly from Taman Saga entrance. There is limited parking space in playground field. Many advise to park at shop lot parking at Jalan Saga 20 and walk about 5 min to the starting point.

Saga Hill & Apeh Waterfall

2

Saga Hill is not a familiar place for hikers, at least compare to Broga. This hiking trail goes all the way from Taman Saga to Wangsa Cheras and approximate distance of 5 KM. Good for beginners and intermediate. Few names related to this hill,  Apeh Hill/ Bukit Apeh, Saga Hill/Bukit Saga and A Pak San (in mandarin).

Saga Hill-Hiking (aka Apeh San Hill)

1 May 2010

In fact, this hill is very nearby my house and I never bother to know about it until I heard and read in somewhere blog. I started curious about what’s so special about this hill compare to other hill. It was so sudden I want to plan for this trip. I sent out invitation via FB, hoping to get someone to explore with me. Result is expected, I got a small group interested in this hill.

It is located at Taman Saga if you take the route to Saga’s peak. This housing area is considered in between Cheras and Ampang borderline. Some more, it’s so near Hulu Langat district. Well, you guess how to reach here.
