14-18 March 2013 | Koh Lipe @ Thailand
Koh Lipe is accessible via flight in Hat Yai International Airport or cheaper alternative such as train to Hat Yai from KL.
I see Koh Lipe as one of the many island destination in Thailand, place no expectation from it, but speechless when I witnessed with my own eyes. That’s the paradise I ever been before.
The whole budget of this trip was set at max RM1k, but actual spending was actually RM 600 – RM 700 per person. Due to higher exchange rate, this cost was actually higher.
Holiday-maker should have a look at this island because it’s too beautiful to describe, let pictures alone to proof it. Overall, a perfect destination that I never dream able to see in Thailand.
A trip into paradise begins here …
Snorkeling trip is a must when you holiday in Koh Lipe. It was incomplete without it especially for first time visit. There are daily snorkel trips available via local tour agent.
Maldives in Thailand (Day 2) – Snorkeling at Blue Ocean (5 Islands)
Amazed with blue ocean and white sandy beach. A lot of things going on our mind. Soul & body are ready for water dipping. Giving an option to dip into shallow water, we’ve a choice to go for deeper part where we can see fishes and coral, that’s snorkeling trip.
Booked to depart at 9.30am in the morning has got us ready by 8.45am. Before we depart for this activity, we woke up as early as 6.00am to watch sunrise. This much overlooked natural phenomenon often categorized as “nature wonders” or “gorgeous landscapes” or “amazing skies”.
A day was meant for FREE & Easy. The best day for exploring our own island where we stay. It’s neither big nor small to go around for a day.
Maldives in Thailand (Day 3) – Koh Lipe Island
To get on whole island by foot is not impossible. It’s only 2km long and 1km wide. With 2 main beaches each with their own. The busy one called Pattaya beach with wide beach stretched in a long crescent of fine white sand.
Sunrise Beach (where I stay) has views of several small nearby island and cool onshore breeze most of the year. It’s located opposite Pattaya beach, with just a few resorts and bars. No cars on the island and thankfully few motorbikes only. Therefore, I can assure the whole island can be explored on foot in couple of hours.
