Gunung Datuk – A mountain for everyone

I did 3 times Gunung Datuk in these 3 years. Gunung Datuk, a very good hiking ground for many hikers now, is equipped with better signboard and facilities. Many without doubt, would give a try as it was only 2-3 hours to touch the peak surrounded by 360 degrees view.

To make entire hiking experience interesting, one must form a group of interested hikers who wanted to try out this mountain, no matter their first time or re-attempt again. It was fun hiking together.
Exactly what I did in my third attempt at Gunung Datuk. I went with a group of casual hikers. They’re not new to hiking but rather to find something useful to achieve on this public holiday.
I was shocked to learn that the fees has risen to RM5 per person from RM3 last time. We need to jot down our name and contact number and this list is going to send to police station for record, in case any casualties, it brings rescuer job easier.
A good place for hiking is getting pricier, forget about the travel cost from KL – Rembau alone.
Saga Hill – Route B

For a very first time I hiked Saga Hill, I did the Route A. There are 3 other routes (B, C, & D) to complete Saga hill-hiking series which known as much tougher and challenging.
Saga Hill (Bukit Saga) – Route B
In my last Saga Hill post, I vowed to come back to complete the other trails. Route A was the most popular and majority hikers would choose. It can be fun to hike together instead alone venturing into alternative way to reach the peak.
I hardly find people go up at Route A and back from Route B, as during my hike, I was alone all the way up.
Apeh Hill via Cheras Awana

By having to complete this route, I’ve concluded my series of Saga & Apeh Hill hiking which have many entrances and route mainly from Station 1 to Station 6 (Apeh Hill) and Route A to D (Saga Hill). How unique isn’t it?
Apeh Hill via Cheras Awana
To complete Saga Hill is not about up to the peak and to complete Apeh Hill is not about up to the waterfall. All must cover all the routes available in the map as possible. Having all the routes in ONE day was tough although not impossible, giving a full day from morning until evening to do this.
From my experiences to climb Apeh Hill started from Saga’s peak where it’s connected via Station 6 & 5 throughout the waterfall site. Later my experience told me there’s another route connected to Station 6 & 5, where is the 4, 3, 2 & 1? All these stations are well-crossed if you came from Cheras Awana.
Jalan-Jalan Cari Durian

A long waiting for fruit king was finally paid off with my last visit to Krau, Pahang. A very delicious and expensive Musang King was part of the menu is available ala buffet (eat all you can). A short trip to Fraser Hill was done after the fiesta for sight-seeing and lunch before we go back to KL.
Jalan-Jalan Cari Durian (Durian Hunting Day Trip)
Although durian season is over, but my last trip for durian hunting was a fruitful one. Having one or two in KL is going to hurt my pocket. Hey! This fruit how come look like luxury item by the price? It should come cheap as we’re the large producer for durian. Don’t you agree?
To counter this, I knew from a friend that we can actually opt for an orchard visit for durian, pay for a fix amount and eat all you can. We booked through a friend network and they reserved a basket for us. Normally they’ll transport it out via lorry if no reservation done. Else you can buy from road side where the stalls stand. Bargaining starts from there.

Waterpark never amazed so much but it left much thrill for me to explore since I was child. Melaka A Famosa Water World is known as “The Largest Water Theme Park in Malaysia” is one of the exciting water escapades that you never want to miss!

Out of many attractive places in Melaka I’ve visited, it left not much for me to explore and put it on my blog. Even this visit wasn’t my first visit to Melaka A Famosa Water World. That’s N year back since my last visit.
The cool summertime fun was going to be fun when you’re in Melaka during hot weather. Jumping into cooling pool and escape from burning sensation you feel during the visit at A’Famosa Resort. This place is located at the exit of Alor Gajah KL-Seremban Highway toll.
