If you’re weekend warrior searching for a popular spot to spend your days under the blissful sun, then Port Dickson is a sure bet for you! Located about an hour drives away from Kuala Lumpur only.
PD Waterfront @ Port Dickson
PD Waterfront as it’s completely new development initiative that boosts PD into tourism spot again. I knew this place when I try to find McD in Port Dickson. The signboard brought and leads me here.
I went to Waterfront Boutique Hotel, the perfect place to take in the sights of sounds of Port Dickson. This hotel was having its promotion for online booking (group buying portal). My weekend package is 2D1N for only RM128.
This place got Kim’s Seafood Palace Restaurant, Matsu Japanese Restaurant and Double Q Restaurant. If you feel like exploring the local dining options, feel free to do so from among the many delicious eateries that are within walking distance.
Enjoy easy access to much convenience including the local McDonald‘s and TF Value Mart grocery store which are just a 3-minute walk away.
Some advertisement claimed that Malaysia’s first mainland-to-island 1 kilometer suspended cable car to Pulau Arang and the water theme park! But I don’t see any during my visit there.
This is the largest Doraemon exhibition held in Malaysia @ Viva Home Exhibition Hall. It was happened from 14-Dec-2013 until 23-Mar-2014. The main attraction was a showcase of 100 unique of Doraemon figures along with others figures.
100 Doraemon Secret Gadgets Expo
Why it was named as 100 Doraemon? It was a countdown towards his birthday, which falls on Sept-3, 2112 in future.
One hundred (100) brings much meaning to this expo. You can see 100 different poses, 100 different figures with each holding 100 different secret gadgets! If you have time, read each information available to know the gadget functionality better.
If you know Doraemon, means we’re likely at around same generation. A big fan once a while but not hardcore. Bought many comics to read and movie/series to watch, especially those episodes aired in RTM back in time. Memories huh?
Year 2014 is marking a completely new journey in my life. Would anyone say “Life start at 30”? It’s a BIG YES for me.
1.1.2014 | Happy New Year 2014
DeXXy.Net is still impressively performed well. I’ve long abandoned my lovely bloggie but Google never gave up and bringing more visitor here. A unique visitor daily now hit at 1,500 daily.
I admit many events in my life were not updated here. I wished I could have done it in one shot for ALL backlog. I vow to make more posts to keep my reader informed via new powerful social media updates platform integration.
In year 2014, I’ll bring it closer to utilized social media integration.
What I’m focusing in year 2014? As a responsible person in my own, I’m now prioritizing family, financial, career and health more than anything else.
To complete Bukit Saga hiking series, one must done for all the routes (A, B, C & D). Normally, many call it as completed via Route A (famous route). The rest are much tougher and challenging, but I determined to complete Route C this time.
Saga Hill (Bukit Saga) – Route C
It doesn’t take long to complete all routes, not even weekly or monthly but could be as short as 1 day. It depends on your stamina, but doing it weekly is recommended. All routes end-point will be at SAGA Hill peak.
Route C is accessible along the way of Route A, where the diversion happened (look around for direction) during flat trek. Route C will be diverted when you see the Chinese local deities OR small camp/rest area as shown in picture above.
CNY is just around the corner, exactly one month from today. Before year 2013 over, before I forgotten, FGS Dong Zen Temple, CNY Lantern & Floral Festival 2013 was held from 8-24 February 2013. It was my sixth visit and it’s still a favorite place during CNY.
Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Dong Zhen Temple
15 Feb 2013 | CNY Lantern & Floral Fest 2013
Opening hours are from 10.30am to 10.00pm. Admission and parking on officially designated areas are both FREE.
As usual, peoples flocked this place during CNY and make it very crowded. I’ve much difficulties in taking photo when people had blocked some nice view. Suggest to come during weekday to avoid super massive weekend crowd.
For me, the most suitable time is between 5.30pm to 8.30pm when I could have before & after the light was turned on, rather than going on day & night separately.
This year was rather different. There were 3D art displays near the side entrance. Also overall, it’s worth a visit due to not many get recycle at different location, if you know my meaning of recycling (reuse the same mascot in different place).
