Our Day 2 is island hopping day. A must activity in this Phuket Trip, we had an enjoyable day tour to Ratcha (Raya) & Coral Island. It wasn’t in my list until the agent introduced it. This place is so amazing with crystal clear water.
Ratcha & Coral Island Tour | Island Escape @ Phuket
This tour is via speedboat, cost me 1300 baht per person. The van picked us up from hotel around 8.00am and transfer to Chalong pier. Punctuality is important so other guest won’t be late due to first batch was late. I was 2nd batch to fetch over.
Phuket is not as big as city but the road heading to jetty is not that straight forward and lots of traffic along the way. It expected to take an hour to the jetty. Not only us heading there, but a dozen of vehicles fetching guests all around the island’s hotel.
Day 3 begins with another island tour trip. A much anticipated tour of Phi Phi + Bamboo Island via cruise. The itinerary was a bit different from my first visit to Phi-Phi Island. Bamboo Island without bamboo is a wonderful island with white sand and surprisingly there’s no resort here.
Phi-Phi & Bamboo Island Tour | Island Escape @ Phuket
This tour is via cruise and cost for 1300 baht per person. The price can be lower if you know where to bargain. Phi-Phi Island is going to be my third attempt to visit as my first time ruined due to bad weather. My second time was success but this time going to be little bit different.
Bamboo Island is on the list this round. It was another beautiful island surrounding Phi-Phi National Park.
Last 2 days was meant for relax and non-adventure. Shopping and walking around the place where we stay. Hey, we stay at Patong area, the most popular and busiest town in Phuket.
Patong Beach & JungCeylon Mall | Island Escape @ Phuket
JungCeylon is a popular shopping complex in Patong. It was quite near to Bangla Street. That’s my first destination and believe it or not, we spent half day here. Things were cheap and you don’t feel want to go out looking at souvenir shop under the sun.
We took a free shuttle from our hotel, drop at Patong beach. A direct sunlight of 11am (Thai time) is mean 12pm in Malaysia. We walked and decided to stop by my favorite restaurant, call Number 6.
OMG, it was closed for renovation. How unlucky.

You may call our trip as makan-makan trip but I rather called as road trip to Muar town. Muar is Johor’s royal town, does not have major tourist attraction, but doesn’t mean you can’t come here.
Road Trip to Muar Town
I took time to walk around and I saw Muar is a pleasant town in my recent visit few years back. Yes, this post was backdated in year Aug 2012.
The Sultan Ismail Bridge spans the river at this point and here you can see the yellow painted Muar Clock Tower, one of the town’s most famous landmarks. The stairs into the interior of the tower were padlocked.
The streets are all being color-coded. I think it’s funny with so many colors there.
