Sungai Nuang, a stream of water flows from Gunung Nuang that you normally encountered when you hike this mountain. No hiking for this trip during the weekend. That’s barbecues (BBQ) along the river.

BBQ @ Sungai Nuang (Nuang River)

When my friend, Paolo told me about the intention to make a BBQ near Sungai Nuang, I was thought of bringing loads of food, stove, drinks & accessories all the way from entrance to the hiking trail.

It was a very good training before eating a lot. But I was wrong. They actually occupied one of the hut build near the river, outside of the park ranger office, on the road side early in the morning when I called them.

Only discovered there are few spots ready for picnic & have a good fun time BBQ-ing.

Cool. How did he find such place?

To get a good spot for BBQ, one must be early to reach there. We were there quite early 8.30am and secured a hut at the strategic location. Means we can have the place comfortably, less crowded and own area for swimming.

Parking is FREE, as long as it’s not blocking the road.

Parking outside the entrance of the park … along the road side

A small setup of BBQ stuffs like heating the charcoal, preparing the food and get things cooked were the most initial things when we reached. The food may be too heavy for us to consume at such early morning, we rather to have light food such as bread.

Paolo prepared a lot of good food, almost covered all type of raw food you can ever imagined. As all things were well prepared, we were there to enjoy the scenery and surrounding nature.

I was thinking, how can I tell people I went to Nuang not for hiking but BBQ? It was fun though.

Raw food and all kind of preparation … ready

Grilled chicken wings … yummy!

Free flow of water source … sound like no wasting here

Morning ray … direct between the trees

With such heavy meal, we suggested to stop for a while and let’s go for a small dipping in the river. I’ve such thought even before I start eating.

The water temperature was rather cold and icy. It doesn’t make even hungry though even after first round of BBQ.

Of course, not the end yet, we had another round of food consumption. Peoples started filling up the remaining hut and some of them just occupied a small place on river side. That’s an ugly side when they picnic at too close to the water.

I saw some picnickers bring their shampoos and wash their hair in the river. These people polluting the river with detergents they used. Oh god!

Dip in the river … after self-fulfilling with foods

Five of us … what an ordinary weekend mean for us

Ladies toilet? … That’s funny though

Along the river, there are a lot of things to do. One of it is easing yourself. Toilet for male is everywhere, but for ladies, I spotted this area. Would you go further down for swimming? I doubt.

Nuang is famous for hiking, but because of the trek toughness, many treat this as training base. I would suggest people should try this at least once to experience it. I notice many hikers talked about Nuang, but get scared off with 12 hours hike.

Imagine if the ‘Never Ending’ route doesn’t exist, it must be crowded then. Chill out.

Our BBQ session was end at noon when hot weather strikes us. We called it a day where other picnickers were just lucky enough to occupy our hut. We keep the place clean by taking all rubbishes out from the picnic area. I’m sure everyone should do it to preserve the environment.

I never get tired of Tabur Hill, but nowadays I really focus on completing more new mountains. My latest attempt on Tabur Hill was last year, on West route which gave an old memory recall since 5 years back. Huh? Am I recalled my first ever hike in my life?

Tabur West (Bukit Tabur)

West route, is the most basic route when people talk about Tabur Hill, a hill with amazing view but dangerous enough if you fear of height. Satisfaction was priceless when you step on every unblocking view of the surrounding.

Yeah, a short of 10 minutes of steep hiking from the entrance can give you a very first introduction of what Bukit Tabur (Tabur Hill) can offer to you.

My revisiting trip to this hill was done quite some time, but this remain fresh in my mind. Although it wasn’t for tough training, but the view and expectation remain unchanged. Our early morning hike was welcome with a misty morning.

We were accompanied with a dog (called Tabur’s dog) which worried our safety and indirectly guiding us to the correct way.

From all the way up and down, towards some dangerous slope, we were sighted with landscape view.

Early in the morning 7am …

We parked our car at the trunk road leading to the entrance. At the end of the road is the death-end.

Trunk road … park at roadside

Before the end-of-road … entrance begin here

Take care the nature … do not litter

Misty morning … can’t get a good sunrise view

Reflection from the dam water … rare sight

Following us … ensure we follow the right route?

Sign of beware … hornets can kill if get disturbed

View of urban city … few lung of greenish area still around

Warning! This crossing … was not advisable as alternative way available now

Going down … challenging or not?

Sign of relief? … not yet the peak

Mossy forest … not mossy anymore

Mossy path … last part before end-of-road

View from DEAD end … MRR2 view

Blocked! … Further down the path is lead to no-where

Mission impossible … crosses to the other side

Tabur West exploration ends here. Maybe I should do a yearly hike from now on.

No doubt, hiking can bring wonderful experience if you choose to hike Tabur Hill because the toughness rating is low and overall hiking hour is only taking 4 hours. Remember taking a camera with you together because you friend will gonna love it when you show the pictures to them.

But one thing for sure, it’s everyone responsibility to take care the nature so that other people can enjoy it. The nature takes million years to form the structure, but take a short moment to spoil it.

Let’s have fun on hill-hiking.

I did 3 times Gunung Datuk in these 3 years. Gunung Datuk, a very good hiking ground for many hikers now, is equipped with better signboard and facilities. Many without doubt, would give a try as it was only 2-3 hours to touch the peak surrounded by 360 degrees view.

Gunung Datuk – A mountain for everyone

To make entire hiking experience interesting, one must form a group of interested hikers who wanted to try out this mountain, no matter their first time or re-attempt again. It was fun hiking together.

Exactly what I did in my third attempt at Gunung Datuk. I went with a group of casual hikers. They’re not new to hiking but rather to find something useful to achieve on this public holiday.

I was shocked to learn that the fees has risen to RM5 per person from RM3 last time. We need to jot down our name and contact number and this list is going to send to police station for record, in case any casualties, it brings rescuer job easier.

A good place for hiking is getting pricier, forget about the travel cost from KL – Rembau alone.

Usually, Gunung Datuk can be completed within half a day if you started early. But since many would prefer start around 9am, they’ll need to bring lunch pack to consume at the peak.

It was an awesome view when you had your meal or drink up at the peak, on top of the large boulder, surrounding with round clock view.

Early morning journey to Rembau …

I started my journey to Rembau, where the Gunung Datuk located. There was hardly a good direction in the beginning of road after the toll (Padas/Linggi). But after you keep your direction to Rembau, you’ll start to see brown signboard indicated Gunung Datuk. Follow the direction until you reach the car park where you’ll see a big Keris tucked on the ground.

Heading into trunk road … to car park

Summary info … Mount Datuk

Getting ready … two DSLR kaki have become small camera fan

Contact Info to be noted … person-in-charge of the park

The trail started with going down to the river and cross the bridge. In the very beginning, one could easily get lost if you didn’t see the trail properly.

NOTE:

Please take note that you must start hike-up and gradually going up the steeps step, but not going down OR even walk on a flat trail. This is a wrong way. Hikers usually walk straight and found out there’s not even start hiking but going deep into the jungle.

Beginning of the trekking journey …

Jungle trekking should be upward right after crossing the bridge.

Visible trek … enough for two way up and down

Fallen tree is blocking our normal route … alternative road opened

During a dry day … non slippery trek

Boulder area with ladder climbing is the most exciting moment. Not everyone dares to climb this old and rusty ladder, but it was strong enough to have ONLY one person at one time.

Although it was tight-up with rope (multiple rope), the ladder can be shaken even on the person itself. It’s kinda risky but do hold the ladder properly and bend your body towards the boulder (rock) to have your balance there.

Ladder climbing … a must try on last part to reach the top

Top of the world is waiting you … challenging ladder climb

Having all those challenges ahead you and you able to reach on top of the world was rather self-fulfilling. I saw not many wanted to give a try and satisfy on first ladder challenge. Subsequent ladder will bring you to the real top where 360 degrees is awaiting you!

As I mentioned before, it was kinda risky to have this rusty ladder. I personally decided to skip this part because I worry my weight would damage this ladder which shown sign of destruction. I’ve touched base the top, my third attempt do not really matter for me anymore.

Overall, Gunung Datuk was an attractive mountain for many hikers who just have developed strong interest into hiking activities. They normally would try to get more experience by climbing a mountain which takes about 6 hours or less. Any hiking more than 8 hours considered a much into hardcore.

Some more, the popularity of this place has given a mindset that this place was secured and have a good navigation and security in placed.

If you’re just into hiking activities or those have done multiple mountains before, you may just consider Gunung Datuk as your training ground.

Gunung Datuk, a mountain for everyone, is what I can tell you here.

For a very first time I hiked Saga Hill, I did the Route A. There are 3 other routes (B, C, & D) to complete Saga hill-hiking series which known as much tougher and challenging.

Saga Hill (Bukit Saga) – Route B

In my last Saga Hill post, I vowed to come back to complete the other trails. Route A was the most popular and majority hikers would choose. It can be fun to hike together instead alone venturing into alternative way to reach the peak.

I hardly find people go up at Route A and back from Route B, as during my hike, I was alone all the way up.

From normal Saga Hill entrance, I passed by the stall that selling nasi lemak, karipap and fruits. Not long after I entered the trail, I noticed a sign indicating Route B direction to the right.

Please follow the sign available. It’s a safe trekking if you follow the sign, if you can’t follow people in front of you.

Route B is not a famous trail by majority hikers due to its nature and slippery condition. The trail hardly has anyone passed by.

Starting point of Route B … crossing mini waterfall

Crossing jungle trails … proper trek covered by dry leaves

Rope assistance … steep slope

Long determination … completed Route B

Taking this route might take about an hour less. It’s not that easy as Route A, but determination is needed to make it success. Of course, many people would rather do the popular trail, but if you were categorized as amateur, you may take something different and new.

Route C & D (labeled as Courages & Dangerous) yet to be attempted. I may attempt this soon to mark a completion and guide for those interested to Saga Hill hiking series.

By having to complete this route, I’ve concluded my series of Saga & Apeh Hill hiking which have many entrances and route mainly from Station 1 to Station 6 (Apeh Hill) and Route A to D (Saga Hill). How unique isn’t it?

Apeh Hill via Cheras Awana

To complete Saga Hill is not about up to the peak and to complete Apeh Hill is not about up to the waterfall. All must cover all the routes available in the map as possible. Having all the routes in ONE day was tough although not impossible, giving a full day from morning until evening to do this.

From my experiences to climb Apeh Hill started from Saga’s peak where it’s connected via Station 6 & 5 throughout the waterfall site. Later my experience told me there’s another route connected to Station 6 & 5, where is the 4, 3, 2 & 1? All these stations are well-crossed if you came from Cheras Awana.

Do not get confused between Cheras Hatamas & Cheras Awana because it’s located side by side. You will see Cheras Hatamas on your left before you turn right to Cheras Awana. That’s how close both entrances are.

From starting point … fruit stall to replenish your sugar level

A flat terrain … entrance to the jungle

Passing the desert stall … environmental awareness signboard

Uniqueness found … rubber trees

First stop … Station 1

Small bridge checkpoint … all the way up

From all the way up, I probably unaware I’ve crossed some important signboard indicated the Station number because everyone seems to follow the majority goes. Shortcut trail straight to Station 6 is available and people reached before me which I was surprise in the first place.

How they all reached before me? They skipped all station from 3-5 .That the beautiful of having alternative path.

I’ve gone through all the station from 1-6 to mark my completion.

Perhaps this is Station 2 … no clear sign except the big 2

Yeah! I’m heading to Station 3 … on the go

Touch-base Station 3 … at last

Passing Station 4 sign … but nowhere to be seen

Opps … station 5 soon

From station 5 … option to go Waterfall in 30 mins

Else go opposite direction of waterfall … to Station 6

Reach Station 6 instead of proceed to waterfall … Station 6 base

Station 6 base is where all the trekkers gathered from all directions (Apeh Hill via Cheras Awana & Cheras Hatamas, Apeh Waterfall back from Station 5 and Saga Hill’s peak).

You gotta plan accordingly to your hike plan from here. But most people will choose to Waterfall because no point if you come from Saga’s trail and end point at Cheras Awana. Unless you purposely taste the desert at the Tong Sui’s stall.

Up and down from all the way was kind of exhausting at the end. That’s the reason most people try to train their stamina here for tough mountain challenge.

Dessert’s stall (Tong Sui’s stall) … at the entrance of Cheras Awana

A young lady with sweet voice … various dessert of the day

Sweet red potato … made my day after hiking

After this route, I found out Apeh Hill offer much more to explore. More trails and shortcut opened up by local for easier and safe hiking for everyone. More beginner hikers are joining the hike every weekend especially those with family. They wanted a safe & guidance trail, not trodden and slippery trek.

For myself, I can’t say I’ve enough for this place because I found more interesting route to complete despite new trail being opened to promote this interchange hill around Cheras could link.

The below map taken along the trail, shows the entire hiking trek available.

Saga Hill + Cheras Hill + Waterfall

Don’t you want to try all these trails?

A long waiting for fruit king was finally paid off with my last visit to Krau, Pahang. A very delicious and expensive Musang King was part of the menu is available ala buffet (eat all you can). A short trip to Fraser Hill was done after the fiesta for sight-seeing and lunch before we go back to KL.

Jalan-Jalan Cari Durian (Durian Hunting Day Trip)

Although durian season is over, but my last trip for durian hunting was a fruitful one. Having one or two in KL is going to hurt my pocket. Hey! This fruit how come look like luxury item by the price? It should come cheap as we’re the large producer for durian. Don’t you agree?

To counter this, I knew from a friend that we can actually opt for an orchard visit for durian, pay for a fix amount and eat all you can. We booked through a friend network and they reserved a basket for us. Normally they’ll transport it out via lorry if no reservation done. Else you can buy from road side where the stalls stand. Bargaining starts from there.

We went a bit further to the orchard because we wanted to enjoy eating durian in orchard. We paid for RM30 per pax and 6 of us were interested to join this trip.

Departs early in the morning towards Karak Highway, we drove up to Krau town. Our person-in-charge was waited us at designated location and leads us to the destination (orchard).

Voila, a fruitful of baskets ready to flag-off to lorry. We were no hurry and worry because this is not the only batch they delivered. LOLz

Arrived at eating location … king of fruits

Full loaded … durianssss

D24 … famous name in the past

Most popular & most hunted durian type … Musang King

Can’t wait for it … faster open!

A group of durian lover … oppss Khaki Group

We were not able to finish up one basket as promised. But satisfaction was there … to have MUSANG KING gao-gao (until full). Some of us tapao (take away) but don’t expect cheap, RM19 per kg (Musang King type) and RM5 per kg (D24 type). No different.

Durian is still a premium fruit for many unless we paid for cheaper alternative or end of season. Even though, many still like it and never get enough for it. The aroma and sensation in your mouth was unexplainable.

After a good appetite of this fruit king, we drove up to Fraser Hill (since we keep seeing Fraser Hill sign-board) for a light drink and lunch.

Stop at information centre … my first visit to Fraser Hill

Lunch at Puncak Inn … a nice place to enjoy our outing

Famous clock tower … the landmark of Fraser Hill

Historical written … our Khaki Group trip

A short visit to Fraser Hill has opened up my mind to come again for complete visit to its famous 7 jungle trails. Many would think that Fraser Hill was boring because it has nothing to offer other than a holiday and gathering. In fact, the nature attraction was a main reason many comes here for lake, jungle and bird-watching.

We officially sped-off from the hill down back to KL at 4pm and call it a day. Our day trip for durian hunting a.k.a Jalan-Jalan Cari Durian was leave us a good memory of get together.

Waterpark never amazed so much but it left much thrill for me to explore since I was child. Melaka A Famosa Water World is known as “The Largest Water Theme Park in Malaysia” is one of the exciting water escapades that you never want to miss!

A’Famosa Water World

Out of many attractive places in Melaka I’ve visited, it left not much for me to explore and put it on my blog. Even this visit wasn’t my first visit to Melaka A Famosa Water World. That’s N year back since my last visit.

The cool summertime fun was going to be fun when you’re in Melaka during hot weather. Jumping into cooling pool and escape from burning sensation you feel during the visit at A’Famosa Resort. This place is located at the exit of Alor Gajah KL-Seremban Highway toll.

The water park itself cost RM35 for adult during weekday while RM40 during weekend. Car park is charge RM3 per entry.

Visiting during weekday was kind of different. You won’t meet up a crowd where everything you play also needs to queue. The facilities are all belong to yours, as long as you don’t feel bored.

The park has few sections, mainly from kids section (Arabian Village) to Family (Sandy Beach, Wave Pool, Lazy River, Inner Tube Slides and Family Raft Ride) and Adventure (High Speed Slides, Body Slides).

I’d taken all advantage to enjoy all the thrills opened that day.

Ticket booth … to get your wrist band ticketing

To enter a water park, the feeling was unexplainable. I can’t recall how many stuff that I never been before since my last visit, but this round, eagerness overcome all.

Let’s GO!!

Welcome to the Water World

Map of the park … getting around with the map

Having one Double Tube for RM10 as rental fees. Unless you would like to skip some games which needed this tube to be use, else you can save this.

Getting into Lazy Pool is a must. The pool supposed to bring me around the entire park as introduction. It failed me anyway. The pool is too shallow or I’m too tall. I’m not even moving as I wanted. Water flow was very slow and boring.

Never amazed me … I forced to move myself along which is tiring

Calm water along the way … under bridge feels like under drain

This Arabian Village is a playground that that inspired by Moorish architecture with its domes and minarets. Quite new and clean. A super shallow pool for kids but adult can make use of it if you want.

Arabian Village … basic water pool to get you warm up

Adult compatible … I slide few times, woohoo!

Water fun … oh, I’m too naive

Water tunnels to go through … slides into the pool below

A place where exciting comes into picture. The Family Raft Slides with at least 4 people to go for balance up the tube. However, I met some visitors to share with.

Stairs walk to the top … tiring but never mind

On the other side, Wave Pool is located at the center location, but I found it less interesting compare to sliding all over place.

The Wave Pool can gives you beach feeling, but I’m here not to feel the imitation of beach but excitement of play over and over again for any slides.

For next exciting slide was Inner Tube slides.

Carrying up this tube around … until you tired

Fours inner holes … choose one or take all four

Ending part … splashing!

High-end slides … High-speed slides

Having darkness inside … when will be ending point?

At this point can view Monkey Island … accessible via Animal World Safari

Choose ONE … Darkness or Brightness

Spinning around until you meet the end … exciting!

Wow … sliding in the dark can be fun but boring

Enough? … wanna go up and try again for others?

A simple direction for a big water world park … be prepare to walk

Lunch pack provided … claimed at eatery place

The park is big. You got to walk one place to another place under a hot sun. Imagine if you taking your turn for each game you would like to play again? I tried High-Speed Slides for once because the speed was real stunning with pressure which enough to make my day.

A Famosa Water World is definitely a place for family based or couple to enjoy a summer day under a cooling and enjoyable water game. You can easily take one whole day for this park, but it would be pack if you purchase Animal World Safari on the same day. I would rather take it separately so I could visit each side of the park with my own.

The lunch pack was up my expectation and delicious. Maybe I was hungry that time.

I called my visit off after spending 4 hours at the park, with non-stop with sliding here and there.

I’m planning for next water park visit soon.

Stay tune.

You may not hear about Danga Bay until you come across with Tune Hotels that build at premier location of Danga Bay. That’s how I come across this place, thanks to Tune Hotels strategic build-up location.

Danga Bay - Malaysia’s premier waterfront city

Danga Bay has a close equivalent to this hotel chain because of marketing threw by them. However, this place was known as Malaysia’s premier waterfront city and the largest recreational park in the city of Johor Bahru. I was thinking of famous and busy street wandering around with all the shops bargaining products. Similarly, I would imagine some equivalent of happening here. In fact, a total reversed.

I reached Danga Bay‘s Tune Hotels when the night befallen. It was a few hours’ drive from Endau Rompin that I left after my early dinner. We separated into group that going back to KL and I continue going to Johor Bahru.

This has marked my continuous journey towards Johor Southern, one step further to Singapore land.

My GPS failed to locate exact location of Tune Hotels despite just recently build. Infrastructure and design are appealing and night view was just superb and catchy.

Tune Hotels @ Night

Walkway outside the room

Door entry to room

Our comfy bed

Last but not least … toilet

After settled down our luggage and stuffs, we drove to nearby supermarket for a plenty of water bottles and light food. There were ample of time for us for wandering Plaza Angsana shopping mall.

I’d get back on preparation for tomorrow itinerary. The night was with us at Johor Bahru.

Good night.

…

Good morning, Danga Bay and Tune Hotels.

A long waiting on getting around Danga Bay is finally here. I brought my set of DSLR for photo-shooting. The day felt warm with blue skies.

Lobby @ Tune Hotels

Tune Hotels Danga Bay … Hello, good morning!

A great disappointment was put me down in the early morning when I try to look after Festive Street Mall. It was other than abandoned infrastructure and close notification. What a great down-hearted!

A quiet and empty long street of shop-lots were just left empty and no one ever can imagine highly imaginative town-ship and shopping street boosting so many retails lots are just a piece of history.

A piece of history … all retail lots

Who knows what happened here? Only a few places seem to be alive and kicking, nothing than Danga Marina Club and Danga Beach. Another was Danga World Petting Zoo, where exhibits a variety of bird species, monitor lizards and other animals for public viewing. I skipped this.

Marina Club … happening at night

Basically daylight in Danga Bay was just a normal day and no crowd or people walking around can be seen except two of us.

Stopped by Marina Club, a place where international restaurants served a variety of oriental, Asian and Western cuisines. The place is facing the jetty where all the boats sailed side-by-side.

A scenic view for photography

Within an hour, I’ve taken so many shots of ourselves. However, here is one of my favorite pictures below.

Favorite shot … Danga Marina Club

Due to the hot weather at noon, my next visit place was none other than shopping complex around Johor Bahru.

At late noon, I prepared with my gear for another shooting. A garden look-alike was maintained quite well, called Danga World. At night, varieties of theme rides were opened for family and couple.

A park with all kind of rides … only at night

From theme park, there was a connection to a clock garden, resembles Stone Age Britons. It’s an interesting place to hang-on for some funny shot.

Stone Age Clock … found in Danga Bay

Hop on the other side … we found a gate to the beach. That’s Danga Beach.

Danga Beach … happening at night

Danga Cruise 8 … triple-decker sea-cruise restaurant

Danga Marina Club view … from Danga Beach

Wedding photo-shoot … on-going for two couples

Night view offers fabulous lighting that complements our eyes. As many businesses started at night, the environment was more happening.

Sunset jetty … offers great tranquility to our eyes and mind

From Marina Club, I walked back to theme park where all the rides were opened. Not many flocking around the stall and seems quite.

Game stalls for plushy toys

Varieties ride offered … but counter seems to be OFFLINE

Train station … the most catchy and attention from visitors

Pony rides … anyone?

Among many rides, train rides and pony rides invited more riders.

The night was colorful and overall it should shows how well was Danga Bay. Facilities and places were maintained well, but only lack of marketing effort put Danga Bay at risk of total closure from visitors.

At this point of writing, Dang Bay.DotCom was down and under maintenance. On whether Danga Bay will be revived from bottom-line was still far unknown. It was like a dead city.

After completed my trip, I only realized my Danga Bay trip was nonetheless known a visit to hidden waterfront city.

There’s goes my 3rd anniversary trip for me & my girlfriend at Danga Bay.

Following of my existing post about Bukit Puchong, the forbidden crossing was lead to one of the most pristine waterfall that I ever visited.

Pristine Fall – Hidden Jewel Under A Bustling City

Hiking never leave you without an astonishment. I took this opportunity to secure and enjoy a rare sight waterfall which was not open to public, therefore a necessary permit to access is advisable to be granted.

The exact location is well conserved under UPM Forestry Department for their research.

A trek leading from the peak down to the fall was about half an hour. Not many know the place, but gradually peoples were curious and it become a hot topic among waterfall lover.

Let’s the pictures do the talk again …

One of the 3 directions … downward the slope hill

Water level is deep … a short visit from the group

Crystal clear water … flowing down

Another pristine water pool … can’t resist for soaking

A group of youngster … found enjoying the nature jewel

Dog’s best friend … enjoying the nature

In recent month, I’ve been informed a guard was place to DISALLOW people from getting near the waterfall. It’s a good move to preserve it from getting crowded and possibility of pollution around the place. I support the move.

Leave nothing but footprint, take nothing but picture.

It’s surprise for some of folks who lived in Puchong who doesn’t know Bukit Puchong exist. Even for myself in KL, doesn’t know its existence until people share their hiking pictures. My curiosity arose.

Bukit Puchong

Synonym with Bukit Puchong, the name of this hill was given because the geographical location at Puchong area. The exact name is Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve Puchong. It’s not a tough hill to hike, anyone with the passion of hiking should explore this place.

The uniqueness of this hill was the location. Under the rapid development of every piece of land in Puchong, you still can find such a woodland available for hiking. Normally I need to travel long hour to get a descent good place for hiking. But this was not the case.

I have hike this hill for few times. Hence this post is going to be a compilation from all few experiences.

The main entrance located at Jalan Wawasan 5/1 with GPS co-ordination here (Google Maps). You will find many car parks on road side, mostly with the reason of hiking. It’s kinda pack on weekend. But parking is not an issue here.

Since I’ve started my training regime for my upcoming tough challenge, I’ve chosen few hills to explore and test my stamina. Not many hills were giving me tough time except Bukit Kutu (toughness equal to any mountains).

Normally we gathered at Giant Bandar Puteri Puchong, before we head up to the entrance car park. Many cars were earlier than us, but we managed to find a parking a bit far near the shop area.

At a glance, I know where the entrance is, because people were heading to one direction into jungle. We followed.

Car park area … normally pack on weekend

Starting point … a trail lead into jungle

Crowded during the peak hour … normally around 8am

Short hike moment … reached an open area

Not far … and real hike yet to start

At this point, most of us will joke that we’d reached the peak. But in fact, the real hike was yet to start.

Real hiking just started …

Once we further a bit, we met a junction here. Normally people will choose RIGHT because it’s much easier and popular. Both direction will still touch the peak, but RIGHT is definitely taking lesser time.

Confuse? … follow majority

Flat track … enjoy while you can

Misty and cooling air … what do you expect?

Upward hike started … follow the trail

Puchong Hill’s peak … a flat ground

Upon reaching the peak, there were none other than way downward the trek. Like it or not, that’s the peak after a short hike, just about to feel enough at last steady steep slope.

Forbidden entry …

From peak, there were 3 directions down to the hill, one direction from coming up while another is going down. The remain direction was also going down, but this was forbidden by a long thin orange rope with pink fabric.

Mind you, to decide whether to cross this borderline or not.

It’s not advisable because it will lead to crossing unauthorized area.

NO entry … to the other side of forest reserve

If you would like to know what was beyond the line, the next post entry shall reveal the place.
