PD Waterfront @ Port Dickson
If you’re weekend warrior searching for a popular spot to spend your days under the blissful sun, then Port Dickson is a sure bet for you! Located about an hour drives away from Kuala Lumpur only.
PD Waterfront @ Port Dickson
PD Waterfront as it’s completely new development initiative that boosts PD into tourism spot again. I knew this place when I try to find McD in Port Dickson. The signboard brought and leads me here.
I went to Waterfront Boutique Hotel, the perfect place to take in the sights of sounds of Port Dickson. This hotel was having its promotion for online booking (group buying portal). My weekend package is 2D1N for only RM128.
This place got Kim’s Seafood Palace Restaurant, Matsu Japanese Restaurant and Double Q Restaurant. If you feel like exploring the local dining options, feel free to do so from among the many delicious eateries that are within walking distance.
Enjoy easy access to much convenience including the local McDonald‘s and TF Value Mart grocery store which are just a 3-minute walk away.
Some advertisement claimed that Malaysia’s first mainland-to-island 1 kilometer suspended cable car to Pulau Arang and the water theme park! But I don’t see any during my visit there.
An overnight trip to PD Waterfront although look simple, but to us, it was an enjoyable and peaceful weekend. We started our journey around noon time and reach this place around check-in hour.
At first I couldn’t find where the entrance was although I saw their hotel name. I called them but received so-so customer service from them on the exact entrance. Expect a grand entrance but instead found out average shoplot entrance (which you may overlook).
Entrance of the hotel … free parking surrounding area
Whole 1st floor are hotel rooms … either facing the sea or the town
Big HOTEL name … ground floor occupied with cafe & bistro
Upon the front desk … short of staff attending check-in procedure
The room … clean and comfort
Simple but comfortable … LCD TV is a bit small to watch from bed
HiPPo traveled with us … relax on the bed
Poor WiFi … NOT ABLE to connect & give up! (failed to obtain IP)
Simple home cook lunch … started using our new mini cooker
Finally it’s done! … yummy & delicious
View from our room … on the LEFT
View from our room … on the RIGHT
We went out our room after the weather gets better around 5pm, not too hot to walk around. The development of a lake still yet to complete in front of this hotel. Luckily I’m not staying at seaview room without a real good view with higher price.
Beach in PD Waterfront is not allowed to swim. The development was on-going causing the water muddy. Better safe than sorry.
Notice board erected in front of the beach … rapid development
Maybank branch in PD Waterfront … a huge branch
Small walking path along the beach … rocky beach
Pulau Arang in the sight … walking path along the beach
Kenny Roger is moving in … yet to open during my visit
Drive out from PD Waterfront … public PD beaches
Back to PD Waterfront fun fair … a mini theme park in front of TF Value Mart
Our dinner settled at McDonald … simple only
Walk to StarBucks for a complimentary drink & chill-out … to have our gift exchange
My gift & her gift … Gift Exchange time
Good night PD Waterfront … glowing Waterfront Boutique Hotel
PD Waterfront brings completely new feel & perception about Port Dickson. No longer the time where you only spend in your resort but not out there.
At night, many peoples coming to McDonald & StarBucks as well as other bistro and Pak Hailam Cafe. The whole situation making this township alive at night. With the seafood restaurant with wedding banquet on weekend made the place even crowded with many cars.
I spent most my time in this place. I wouldn’t want to go somewhere else. Nothing worth better than spending quality time together. That was how we were celebrating our Christmas a week earlier. Love it!
