4 Sept 2010 | East Coast Vacation 2010 (Rantau Abang)
Upon left the Kapas Island, we continue our drive from Marang jetty towards Kuantan direction. During the journey, we stopped by Rantau Abang for a short visit.
The best place for the turtle breeding spot is Rantau Abang. This place is associated with turtles only.
The turtle hatchery is quite unique. It preserves the turtles in the best possible way.
Once upon a time … a well known turtle breeding spot
Turtle eggs are preserved and protected.… in covered area
Turtle sanctuary … to keep them protected, I guess
At 3.00pm, we reached Chukai and stopped at this popular coffee shop called Hai Peng. Merely suggested by DarkOne to try on their concentrated coffee filled with highly dose of caffeine, I ordered it immediately. At RM4.30 per cup, it’s considered quite expensive for a town like this to serve a cup of coffee.
Popular coffee shop … Hai Peng @ Chukai,Kemaman
Their local delicacies such as nasi lemak and mee hoon cost RM2 for each packet. Woah! Lastly, I ordered 2 set of kaya toast (RM1 each) for all of us to try. Quality wise meet up our expectation, but price wise was kind of surprised. Definitely not a typical coffee shop for your grandparent to spent a day off here.
Our simple meal … concentrated coffee and kaya toast
We continue where we left here, towards Cherating holiday and Teluk Chempedak visit in next post.
