Bowling Tournament 2009
1An annual event of this tournament was held at Sunway Mega Lanes, Sunway Pyramid on 2nd May 2009. It was organized by the Club. If you know what I mean, just look at the Club name below…hehe.
Bowling Tournament 2009

My past experience in this sport is slightly average. If I ever join, I will just join for fun. Game started at 9am but people already start gathering as early as 8am. Notably are those trophies and hampers, waiting to be given away.
I didn’t join the tournament due to not able to form a team. I came here just to give moral support. That is.
Samsung SyncMaster 2033SW
1A long waiting LCD monitor is finally arrived! It had been in my list since 2 years ago. It keeps delaying until I can’t wait anymore. Here it is. My new 20′ LCD Samsung monitor. This model is quite new to the market compare its 22′ sibling which appear on the market for quite some time.
The price is RM444 from Low Yat Plaza which I believe the lowest I could get that day. It’s within my budget compare to my first 17′ inch LCD (bought in 2005) which cost me RM1099.

Unpacking my new gadget is rather excited. It’s like opening a gift which you wish to receive. The opening space is where the CD, cables and documentation located. The most important material is store between to protect them.
Tabur Hill – Fourth Hiking
0Tabur Hill is only the hill that I hike every year since year 2006. It was my fourth hike this year. My previous hike experience can be found here (2006), here (2007) and here (2008). In fact, it doesn’t change much except for more caution remarks in dangerous path.
Tabur Hill (Bukit Tabur) – Fourth Hiking
21 March 2009

In fact, all the while, I’m hiking the West Hill but never been to East Hill. The West Hill is known as Crystal Hill. This route is better and easier comparing to West, according to my reading on other blog. (more…)
Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi
0Khoo Kongsi is a large Chinese clan house in Penang. This famous fantastic architecture is one of the city’s major historic attractions located in Cannon Square of George Town.
Khoo Kongsi

My visit to Khoo Kongsi has widen my fascination about ancient architecture. It was indeed a stunning clan house that I ever seen.
The entrance fee is RM5 per person…huh…need to pay one? Yea…it was more expensive now, compare to RM3 last time. First time visit is worth to pay, however, second time onwards will feel boredom.

Majority of the shop houses inside are not open that day and well maintained. The original material of the building is still intact, in original form. No matter how it’s deteriorating, it’s keep clean.

The ancestors of the family are kept in order. The door left open, but we do not dare to enter…haunting feel. Hehe.

Rules and Regulations stated that you can’t do this and that. A very common rules such as no litter, no smoking, no pets, no food and no HANDPHONE switch on?? It’s surprising me.
Is mobile phone signal caused any problem in the house? Weird…if they want to keep the entire plan quiet and not noisy, they may just put, “Please lower the voice“. However, I do not see any of this sign inside and there’s no point of doing this. Haha.

The old shop houses are generally being seen at Melaka as well.

Khoo Kongsi Clan House! So big and grand. If you are a person that understand the sculpture design, it’s good to come here to make observation and go back doing your own.

The House is guarded by two guardians, particular one left and right. He is pretending to be The One. Salute.

Spotted another guardian along..wahahaha. Is it really a guardian or a fighter?

The Peace guardian is in mediation for The House, responsibly to catch away the bad spirit. Hehe.

A beauty and the guardian. Sound fishy. Haha.

Inside the temple itself, there is big wallpaper. Even it’s telling us a thousand meaning, I don’t even understand one. What a waste. Haiz.

The ground floor of the clan temple is not open for us. We do not have chance to look and understand more. The information given on this trip and tourist spot is so limited. We’re far from knowing its history and background because of this limitation.

I feel that RM5 is not worth the money, perhaps for building maintenance, I’m ok with it. I’m not sure whether there are occasionally some events at night or during festive season. If yes, they should promote more to outside.
Kek Lok Si Temple
2Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam in Penang and is one of the best known temples on the island. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia.
Kek Lok Si Temple

My trip to Penang Island has enable me to up-close the temple with photos. All these photos are developed by DSLR Canon EOS100d borrow from my colleague. Here by, this post is the first post dedicated to Photography section.
This is called Liberation Pond, where the turtles are released into freedom. Visitors are encourage to feed the turtles from vegetables sold over there.

We continue to hike further up and crossing over this path. Beggars are seen along the path.

A row of Buddha statues.

We took the cren up to the hill at higher temple where Kuan Yin statue located.

There are 12 chinese animal zodiac stone around in which I believe kids love the most.

They do like to take pictures with them, so do I. Haha.

The temple itself consists of several large hall for assembly and prayer.

The dark cloud is darkening before the real battle begins.

The towering statue of Kuan Yin is still in progress but already opened to public. I still remember last few years, we are allowed to go up, and right now is block for renovation to be continued.
The statue is located on the hillside above the pagoda.

Statue guardian of the statue. We are all believe that it’s a male as we found an evidence to that..Haha. Funny!

Finally, a group photo from us, Ann, Cadeance, MK, Jian and me.

The weather is kind of hot, leaving us an urgency to make our step as soon as possible. We take the lift down and proceed to the exit of Kek Lok Si temple.
Our visit to the temple is ended with asam laksa and ABC desert nearby.
Bye.
