Jonker 88 Desserts @ Jonker Street

If you do not know where to eat the good food here, just observe around. The shop with many people line up is always the best and well known.

The best thing of this desert is it’s filled with Gula Melaka (palm sugar) which taste very sweet. The sweetness doesn’t maintain long in your mouth. It will gone into your throat with cold icy. OMG, its taste too goood!

The stall is require you to self-service even though there are few workers walk around busily.

Combination of food and desert makes perfect at Jonker88. I tried their Baba Laksa, served with some cucumber and onion slices, tofu pok and a spoon of tuna. The taste is not as hot as curry and sour as asam. It just make my day when I finished the entire bowl include the soup.

Early morning do not have the crowd compare to lunch hour and night which is very hard to get the table. People just standing outside and opposite the shop to enjoy the ice-kacang.

The restaurant ambiance is giving me a 30’s era. We took group photograph of four only.

My makan-makan trip wouldn’t complete without this visit and order ice-kacang at least. In fact, there are few flavours to try out. I’m sure drop by every time I visit Melaka.
