Public Bank Scam Site
0I love to write about scam site. It serves the purpose of educating people not fall into such prey especially related to internet banking. Again, I’m not a customer of Public Bank. This is my third writing on banking scam site after CIMB and Maybank.
First of all, to begin the phishing, one has to receive a fake email claiming from the bank. It looks genuine though. Good job.

Wait. It’s not a good job done eventually. We read through and found that the email address verification expert @ pbebank above is without ‘t‘. Can I call this stupid attempt? Rushing perhaps?
Try to click on the link given, you will be directing to the other site similar to the genuine. You will not able to differentiate if you’re not IT literate user or active customer.
The address (URL) is changing to:
http:// www.publicplann.1free.ws/ public_access/ Public_Bank_Berhad_Internet_Banking.html

Try to key-in any user ID and password to test it out.
Upon click LOGIN button, the following screen will be display for few seconds.

Looks convincing but is it too simple to have such interface? Even first year student know how to create HTML redirection page like this.
The next screen will ask you to key-in the PAC number (will sent to your mobile phone). But the PAC only needs to key-in after 8 mins. Why? It’s because they need time to verify and login into your account from the ID and password key-in in earlier screen.
Once your real PAC number entered, scammer will have full access on your banking account.

However, PAC number entered will never be validated, and the error shown below. It serves the purpose to delay or making you unaware that you’re being scammed all the way from first screen.

You will be ask to click REQUEST PAC button. Again, a flaw with PAC is in small letter? Rushing perhaps?
To continue making you unaware, you will be bringing to this static page below forever. In fact, it will never load at all due to static page used.

Once you realized this is a prey (suspect something wrong with PAC and loading thingy), it will be too late already. Money is gone from your account.
With all these phishing, please be aware that bank will never ask you for ID and password. This kind of threat is just want to get your ID and password to transfer your money out. NEVER, NEVER let any third party know your ID and password.
Bank has been the main targets and was hit so badly recently.
Menara Taming Sari @ Melaka
0Finally, I visited this latest tourist attraction in Melaka. Menara Taming Sari (Revolving Tower) is located at Bandar Hilir, beside Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. This 110m high revolving tower is built with revolving observation cabin, rotating 360-degree view.
Menara Taming Sari

I went at night. People said that it’s good to ride during the daylight. Admission fees are RM20 (without MyKad), RM10 (with MyKad), RM10 (no MyKad) and RM5 (with MyKad) for children below 12 years and RM17 (no MyKad) and RM7 (with MyKad) for senior citizens above 55 years old.

0I bought a total new 320GB notebook hard disk from PC Fair (I) 2009 recently. At a glance, it’s just a normal hard disk but if I would tell you the price, you will be puzzle. It only cost me RM208 (include the casing).

OMG, the cheapest I could ever so far in my life. Compare to my few years back purchased 60GB (in year 2005), 120GB (year 2006) and 250GB (year 2008), all three were cost me RM300++ each.
The reason I bought this is due to demand on storage capacity on my PC system. Storage is never enough for me anyway. USB drive is never, never in my list as I could purchase a very cheap storage on 2.5 hard disk with higher capacity.
The PC fair price for 8GB (thumb drive) is RM50 whereas I could get 320GB (hard disk) at RM208. Both also using USB port for file transfer. Which one is more worth?
Not to mention that 640GB external Maxtor drive only cost RM229 at PC Fair 2009. Damn cheap man! Further more, Terabytes era is coming already.

1OMG…of course it’s not me. I’m not graduated from local university, only attending their convocation. Without knowing that it’s my first time attending local U convo!
U.K.M Convocation 2008

Blah Blah … this post should be written earlier due to it’s happened on last year 13 Aug. I come into discovering that I missed out this wonderful event. I do not want to post under my life documentary. It’s still fresh in my mind, like happened yesterday!
Lily was a graduate from this university. She, in fact, has came to know that her junior batch is going to graduate soon and she want me to come along with her.
At first, I thought of going for a simple convocation, did not expect anything until it’s turned to be the other round, with place crowded with so many happy faces around. Suddenly I felt myself getting old and all the new blood whom will be going to join the workforce with us very soon.

Lily is carrying this cutie doggie everywhere.

Later on, she no longer carrying the doggie, but a flowerbed.

Yo…it’s time to pass the flower back to her junior. Congratsssss.

Got few occasions where she met with her ex-lecturers and took picture with them. Luckily, lecturers are still remember their students.

She brings me around to show me the places.

The place is big, walking alone is tiring, therefore, motoring is the best choice. That’s how she get her motor as a transport that time.

From faculty by faculty and proceed to the other buildings.

She showed me where she stay last time, her room is facing the forest. Can see monkey loitering around. There are separate dorm for male and female. One’s cannot enter to each other by the rules.

She and her juniors then decided to visit the ‘best‘ lecturer office to show gratitude over the years effort teaching and guiding them. It was like farewell meet up. So touching. I never had such feeling for distance learning degree..gosh!
At about 2pm, we left the convo and had our lunch at Bangi town before back to KL.
Jom Makan-Makan @ Melaka
7Melaka is famous with a lot of foods. Nothing can beat our appetite that day when we organized a Jom Makan-Makan at Melaka @ 28 Mar 2009. We beat the rhythm when we finally got five people for this trip.
Jom Makan-Makan @ Melaka
28 March 2009

I just came back from one full day trip @ Melaka. It was damn tiring when I went out from house at 6.45am and only back to home at 2.30am. We walked quite a lot and eat non-stop for the whole day!
Five of us fit into one car on the way. We wanted to minimize our spend on the transport as we’re willing to spend more on food.
